On the 2nd of February 2024, the Anindilyakwa Community came together to celebrate a groundbreaking achievement. Two years since the signing of the Northern Territory Aboriginal Justice Agreement, the first Community Court and local Law and Justice Group has been established.

Stakeholders on the day were given a preview of the near completed Healing Centre Facility—the Anindilyakwa on-country alternative to custody facility.

The day marked a significant celebration of the hard work of local decision making to improve the lives of Anindilyakwa people.
