Anindilyakwa Land & Sea Rangers and East Arnhem vets are asking people to not move dogs

between communities.

The deadly disease E. canis is spreading on the mainland and the Anindilyakwa Land Council

doesn’t want it to reach Groote Eylandt.

People are being asked not to bring dogs to Groote or Bickerton from Numbulwar.

All dogs must have written approval from the Anindilyakwa Land Council and must have been

given tick treatment before being transported to Groote or Bickerton Island.
