
Ranger Administration & Training Coordinator
The ALC has a great opportunity for an Administration & Training Coordinator to join the team. Based at the Pole 13 Ranger Base, the Administration & Training Coordinator will coordinate the administration, training and general housekeeping requirements of the Land & Sea department, as well as process recreational permit sales and direct and respond to inquiries regarding the Rangers, Biosecurity, IPA, Ecology and other Land & Sea related information. This role will be responsible for mentoring and working closely with the Ranger Support Officer, including providing on the job training and development opportunities for the Ranger Support Officer to continue to grow and develop their administration skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing reception and customer service services, and processing permit sales.
- Coordinate the Land & Sea department finance, procurement, permit and invoicing requirements.
- Liaise with Traditional Owners on Land Closures
- Organise specialist training for the Land & Sea Rangers
- Coordinate travel requests for stakeholders, and housekeeping and maintenance requirements
- Lead, supervise and provide ongoing mentoring to the Ranger Administration Support Officer.
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Previous experience working in an administration role.
- Previous experience and a genuine interest in mentoring indigenous staff.
- Highly motivated with exceptional organisation skills, and the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrable exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
- Committed to delivering high quality results with minimal supervision.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrates a genuine interest in working closely with Anindilyakwa people.
Desirable
- Demonstrable experience coordinating training programs with an indigenous audience.
- Demonstrable experience mentoring indigenous staff in administrative duties.
